Our purpose

No one should have to
navigate it alone.

Life after a stroke or brain injury brings questions, changes, and unfamiliar challenges. The Next Chapter Resource Foundation is dedicated to helping survivors and families find encouragement, useful resources, and connection along the way.

Encouragement
from experience.

Honest conversations and support rooted in understanding what it means to begin again after a life-changing injury.

Resources for
the road ahead.

Resource packets and shared information that help survivors and families explore questions and possible next steps.

A community
to move with.

Connection through survivor conversations, support meetings, and outreach that brings people together.

Meet our founder
Eric AndrewsStroke survivor · Founder · Advocate

A changed perspective.
A continuing purpose.

Before his stroke, Eric was an over-the-road hazmat truck driver. His life changed, and so did his perspective. Today, he shares his lived experience to encourage other survivors and promote stroke awareness and prevention.

Before his own stroke, Eric believed, “Strokes only happen to older people.” He shares his story to challenge that same belief in others and encourage people to take stroke prevention seriously, even when they feel too young to be at risk.

Through THE NEXT CHAPTER resource group at Centre for Neuro Skills (CNS) and his YouTube channel, A STROKE OF MY PERSPECTIVE, Eric makes room for honest conversations about life after stroke—including the topics that can be difficult to discuss.

With his wife’s support behind the scenes, he is building a foundation focused on helping survivors and families face what comes next with connection and purpose.

“You can’t start the next chapter if you keep re-reading the last one.”
